Training Scholarships

We are excited to announce another opportunity to apply for scholarship funds to access perinatal mental health training supported by PSI Kansas and Kansas Connecting Communities!

This scholarship is focused on improving competency for Kansas providers interested in learning more about and advancing expertise in perinatal mental health. We have identified quality, evidence-based training options, available both self-paced and live. It is highly recommended that you complete training on the core competencies of perinatal mental health, before taking advanced or specialized training. Kansas Moms in Mind: Consultation Clinic Series

The Kansas Moms in Mind (KMIM) Consultation Clinic series returns for a 2023-24 series. The aim of this free series is to build the knowledge and skills of frontline healthcare providers in addressing perinatal behavioral health disorders, particularly the treatment and medication management of these conditions. Register for the series and join individual clinics as you are available.

  • Maternal Mental Health 101 with Melissa Hoffman: Access this pre-recorded webinar presented by the KCC team and Melissa Hoffman, DNP, APRN, PMHN-BC and perinatal mental health content expert to learn more about the basics of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), including best practice and resource recommendations for professionals serving this population. This training is intended for a general professional audience and does not meet training standards towards perinatal mental health certification.
